The world is green where the trolls dwell
The forest is deep where the trolls dwell
Where the trolls dwell is peace and calm
Far away from human ill and harm

The trolls' home is a peaceful place
A pleasant place
Far from the grey human world
Many beings live close to trolls
Since trolls are kind and pleasant folk
So unlike our human kind

Dear human on your forest walk
Please be kind to the forest folk
Please be gentle, do not tread
On the paths that trolls have made

Please do not disturb the trolls
Let them be and let them live
And let them keep their home
Guardians of our woods
Always have been, always will
Never cause you any harm
So please be kind to them
