Black and Blonde

I had seen some great beauty
But it hadn’t been much on my mind
Mere beauty didn’t much move me
Cute was not enough to catch my eye
I could appreciate it but I didn’t crave it
Until I saw her that morning
In her long dress as black as the night
Hair as blonde as the summer’s first rye

I could tell that she was an enigma
A riddle I needed to solve
Darkness that mixed with a bright light
Sharp coarseness to silken soft tounge
Sadness inside of a coy smile
A curious mix of black and blonde

Think maybe I could cure her sadness
Relieve her of dark loneliness
I’m afraid but I want to be closer
To be held inside her tight embrace
I'm loving her dark and am loving her light
So very weak for her
And I'm so very weak for black and blonde
